Rejoice with us in the Lord

IBC 32nd Anniversary

The theme of IBC 32nd  Anniversary on May 3, 2020 was “Abounding in the Works of the Lord”  taken from I Corinthians 15:58. Though we missed the vividness of our church celebration and the members’ sweet fellowship because of the life-threatening presence of COVID-19, yet our hearts were in great rejoicing and deeply united in praising and thanking God for His great faithfulness and sustaining grace for more than three decades of IBC’s existence.

Pastor Jose B. Cabajar emphasized in his messages, delivered via live-stream, the contributing factors for a strong and powerful local church. He encouraged the church to keep on abounding in the works of the Lord and to intensify our service to show our love for Him especially now that we could see the worsening situation of our planet earth.

Christ’s coming is imminent. May we always be thankful to God in a more personal and meaningful way by serving Him faithfully.

To God be the glory great things He hath done!

IBC 2020 Mission Emphasis Month

The theme of the IBC 2020 Mission Emphasis Month was “Christ-like Compassion in Mission” with text on Matthew 9:36-38. Pastor Jessie Lubiano of High Crest Bible Baptist Church, Baguio City was the invited guest speaker supposed to be scheduled on March 29, 2020, but the event was indefinitely postponed because of the pandemic situation. However, Pastor Jose B. Cabajar preached on messages related to our theme for the church to have a clear vision of God’s compassion, and he encouraged them to have compassion-triggered involvement in mission through consistent prayer, being more active in the Lord’s works, and by faithfully supporting our mission program.

Christ-like compassion in mission will surely deepen and strengthen our commitment for world evangelization so we could reach those for whom the Savior gave His life, thereby fulfilling the Lord’s Great Commission.

May the Lord find our hearts compassionate and willing to spread the Good News at any cost.

Heavenly Proclamation Of The Birth Of Christ

Text: Luke 2:9-14   IBCWPM    December 23, 2020

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

When Christ was born, there was an overwhelming proclamation from above as the glory of the Lord shone around about the shepherds, and they were sore afraid. Luke 2:9-14

The Bible says in Luke 2:10, And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. (KJV) This passage clearly conveyed good news to fallen human race. It was a joy-giving message to all people.

What an assurance for us to know that Jesus is the True Savior of the world. Such, proclamation was not from men but from above. In Luke 2:11, it is written, For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (KJV) We praise God for His great salvation so rich and free.

(I) For The Glory Of God Luke 2:14

All the wonderful things that happened during and after the birth of the Savior are all for the glory of God. The Bible says in Romans 11:36, For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. (KJV)

-Peace on earth Luke 2:14   John 14:27

Peace has been and always will be the desire of all people, but without Christ, peace is unachievable. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only One who can give true peace on earth because He is the “Prince of Peace”.

In Isaiah 9:6, it is written, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (KJV)

Through our Lord Jesus, we have “peace with God” and “peace of God” whatever situation we have in life. The Bible says in Romans 5:1, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV) Philippians 4:7

  • Good will toward men Luke 2:14

In Luke 2:14, it is written, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (KJV) The phrase “good will toward men” reminds us of God’s kind-heartedness toward us despite of the sinful nature we have.

God is compassionate to us and His faithfulness is undeniably manifested day by day. We don’t deserve anything good from above but what is written in Lamentations 3:22-23 is a great comfort, It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (KJV)

Spiritual insights to live by:

As the world celebrates the birth of Christ, it is always proper to do what is right and pleasing before God. In Romans 12:2, it is written, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)

We must keep on proclaiming the Good News so the lost may come to the saving knowledge of Christ and have eternal life through faith in Him. Matthew 28:19, 20

In Luke 2:17-18, it is written, And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. (KJV) These passages from the Bible remind us to tell others the things that we have known and believed concerning Christ’s incarnate Deity and what He has done for us at Calvary.

The Bible says in Colossians 3:17, And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (KJV) Keep on shining in this sin-darkened world for God’s honor and glory.

The Wonderful Grace Of God

Text: Titus 2:11    IBCSWS    December 20, 2020

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

The grace of God is so great and wonderful. Its unbelievable benefit to fallen human race is beyond man’s comprehension. The Bible Says in Titus 2:11, For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (KJV) By the grace of God, sinful man became hopeful and the solution to his greatest need which is salvation has been provided perfectly. Using Our Time Wisely

Text: Ephesians 5:16   IBCWPM   December 9, 2020

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

Handling our time in a godly way surely reveals our spiritual wisdom, maturity and stewardship. We really need to spend our time appropriately especially during critical times.

In Psalm 90:12, Moses prayed, So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (KJV) Moses prayed for wisdom-filled life because he was aware of the shortness of life as he mentioned in verse ten. Read More >>>

God’s Working In Us

Text: Philippians 1:6    IBCGH    January 24, 2021

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

We may not be fully aware, but God is working in us for our own good and for His honor and glory. We count it a privilege to be a part of His continual working through our lives. It will surely make us better servants of God as we are being shaped unto Christ-likeness. Read More >>

Totally Unprepared World For The Birth Of Christ

Text: Luke 2:1-7   IBCGH    December 20, 2020

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

Reading Luke 2:1-3 will give us a glimpse of how busy the people were in complying and doing their responsibilities concerning the decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. For such reason, the world was totally caught unaware when the Savior came into the world.

The Bible says, And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. (KJV)

Seemingly, there was an unavoidable movement of people travelling from different places to meet the demand of time. It was sad that the birth of Jesus was overlooked to the extent that no one prepared a place for them to stay. Take note of Luke 2:7 which says, And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. (KJV)             Read More >>>

Giving Reverence To The Lord During Busy Days

Text: Luke 2:15   IBCWPM   December 16, 2020

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

During the birth of the Savior, people were so busy and were not even aware of the manifestation of the Lord in the flesh. The Bible says in John 1:10, He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (KJV) What a memorable world event and yet overlooked because of heavy secular activities.        Read More >>>

Christ’s Preeminence In All Things At All Times

Text: Colossians 1:18 IBCSWS December 6, 2020

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

Christmas Season is a well-awaited season and people are so happy, excited and expectant of good things the holiday would bring. But lest we forget, Christ’s preeminence should not be overlooked because He is the reason behind the season.

Most importantly, the preeminence of Christ is not seasonal but at all times and for eternity. In Philippians 2:10-11, it is written, 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (KJV)
